On Sunday, March 26, ITMO University celebrated the 117th anniversary of its foundation. This date was celebrated on March 24 in a solemn meeting of the Academic Council of the University, where the rector Vladimir Vasilyev congratulated colleagues and students and announced the results of the contest "ITMO Top Departments".
The Department of Optical Physics and Modern Natural Science was recognized as one of the twelve winners. During the selection process, the Departments were evaluated according to several criteria, including achievements in science, activities in the context of admission campaigns, and divulgation of the research carried out in the department.
